'GOSSIP GIRL' SNEAK PEEK LEAVES YOU SAYING WTF

Leighton Meester & Blake Lively pose for Terry Richardson in Rolling Stone MagazineReady for some exclusive first-look footage from the third season of "Gossip Girl"?

Then skip right to the video.

For those those interested in the CW's latest marketing campaign, read on.

The network is diving into text-message lingo once again for its latest ads.  To promote the return of "Gossip Girl," the network is launching an on-air campaign Monday night to get its young viewers saying "WTF".

Unlike last year's eyebrow-raising "OMFG" campaign, there's a more pragmatic twist this time. During the on-air ads, "WTF" (a.k.a. "What The F--k"), is revealed by network to actually stand for ... "Watch This Fall."

"Gossip" branding efforts really hit their stride last year with the "OMG" ads, then had a critics quote ads that turned prudish slams of the show on their heels, followed by a Britney Spears meets Chuck Bass "Womanzier" campaign last winter.

The new "WTF" ads follow up an evocative print campaign for "Melrose Place" ("Menage a Tues") and a campaign for "Vampire Diaries" ("Love Sucks").

"Gossip" returns Sept. 14 in its new 9 p.m. time period. Here's the video, which includes the first-released footage of season three:
