SHAKE IT, SHAKE IT LIKE A POLAROID PICTURE!

Original Polaroid Camera

The Polaroid has returned!  The instant film camera made its comeback at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2010)with the introduction of Polaroid camera model, the PIC 1000.

Hipsters, photo-classicists, model agents and impatient picture-snappers everywhere rejoice: Polaroid Cameras are making a comeback.  After announcing that Polaroid cameras (and film) were being discontinued, Polapremium has announced that they are "preparing, supporting and managing the comeback of Instant Photography."

Dubbed the PIC-1000, the new Polaroid film camera is a return to the instant film maker’s roots, yet still looks modern. Clad in metallic plastic or wood-effect, it’s curvy enough to look modern, while retro enough to make our nostalgic hearts skip a beat.

Polaroid says the new PIC-1000 film camera will shoot as close as 2ft or 0.6 meters, has a self timer, flash and red-eye reduction built in. The real kicker though, is that the PIC-1000 camera will work with Polaroid 1000 instant film, currently being re-engineered for the 21st century as part of the Impossible Project.

Polaroid camera and film (both color and black-and-white) should go on sale mid 2010.
