NEVERWOOD HIGH'S FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER ♒

The ballroom at The Beverly Hilton for Clive Davis' Grammy party

Clive Davis giving a speechHey everyone,

I've been on a whirlwind of adventures in the past week and boy do I have stories to tell.

From the Art of Elysium's after party, to the Bahamas for Michael Jordan's Gold Tournament, then onto Clive Davis' Grammy celebration, singing Happy Birthday to Lauren Conrad and waking up today in Miami.

In the next couple of days I will post photos from these past events here on NeverWood High.  Along with a play by play of my week in South Beach for the Super Bowl.

Get ready to put in some after school hours for some extra credit, because this is going to be a busy month.

There's a lot happening this month, starting with Super Bowl, then off to Fashion Week, the Olympics in Vancouver and my birthday on the 17th.

Happy Jet-Setting!

PARIS FASHION WEEK: FRONT ROW & ONLINE...

"Aint Nothing Like the Real Thing" by Bruce WeberWith the start of men's fashion week last Thursday in Paris. Editors started to fill the front rows, models began strutting down the catwalks and bloggers took their positions behind their laptops.

This season had designers, photographers and PR companies singing "Where dem bloggers at, where dem bloggers at... where they at, where they at, where they at?"

With the combination of Fashion and Web Technology everyone had the opportunity to sit front row via the internet.  From the Dior Homme show that was streamed live to artist David Shrigley's humorous short animated film for Pringle of Scotland.  Even V Man Magazine brought one of their upcoming photo shoots to life with a film that pushes menswear to the limits.

VMAN17 Preview: DEFENDER By Simon ProcterParis and Milan have always been known to be fashion forward, now raise the bar for future international fashion designers, filmmakers and other artists who want  to present their fashion to a global audience.

Stefano Pilati is always ahead of the curve and with his Men’s Fall 2010 show, Yves Saint Laurent’s genius creative director enlisted photographer Bruce Weber to create a short film. “Aint Nothing Like the Real Thing”  made its debut in Paris. For the past five seasons Pilati has created multidimensional presentations and this time Weber was given the creative freedom to explore the YSL men’s collection from his own point of view. COURTNEY LOVE CREATES SPARKS AT ALEXANDER WANG'S AFTER PARTY

Designer Alexander Wang with bff Ryan CorbinOne of the best parties during fashion week would have to go to friend of NeverWood High, Alexander Wang.  Alex is an amazing designer who's designs are worn by the most recognized people in the world and can be found in just about any fashion magazine.

Not only are his fashion creations extraordinary, but Alex is such a fun-radiant person... which reflects on his party throwing abilities.  Wang, decided to rent out a gas station (how Zoolander of him) and invite every notable person in the fashion and entertainment industry there.

They drained the gas forty-eight hours prior to the show, just in case anyone dared to light up a cig.  But, the smoke didn't come from someone huffing and puffing, it was the electric presence of Courtney Love that created sparks around the party.

Some other dashing darlings that were in attendance were model Agyness Deyn, Janelle Monae, Kirsten Dunst, Lykke Li, Mischa Barton, Devon Aoki and Santigold who also performed later in the evening.

Way to start the night on fire Alexander Wang!  On a scale of low to high...

We at NeverWood High rate that party at a HIGH OCTANE level.
