THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF MINE, I'M GONNA LET IT DANCE!!!

iLuminate Dancers

After seeing a YouTube video of the Michael Jackson tribute at the BET's.

I was amazed with the glow in the dark dancers who lit up the dance floor with the combination of smooth moves and technology.

After some research, I found the creator of iLuminateMiral Kotb.

Miral was a computer science brain from Columbia University by day and dance choreographer by night.  Sounds like the biography of a new super hero awaiting a comic book deal to me.  She merged her two talents together and well... Watch the video below and look what she came up with.

NeverWood High would love to see Miral team up with Jon Chu and The LXD in some kind of dance collaboration.

NeverWood High's cheer squad might need some custom made cheerleading uniforms designed from iluminate for the Fall.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE? BUT WHY...

Samantha Ronson DJing at BAR210 for Carlos E. Lopez birthday party

DJ Samantha Ronson & NeverWood High Carlos E. Lopez @ BAR210Have you ever looked around the room at your friends dancing...

It's something I do quite often and wonder what gets people off their feet and onto the dance floor.

Friends of NeverWood High Jon Chu created movies around dancing and Adam Shankman incorporated dance into this years Oscars.

It's something we have been doing from glamorous past to street dancing with a blast.

Is it simply the music, or the open bar sponsored by Svedka, is it the Red Bull in our Vodka or the freedom we have when our bodies move across the dance floor.

I've been blessed to have been surrounded by such great musicians and pretty convenient that some of my besties are my favorites DJ's.  I would have to say, what makes me dance is the smile on my friends faces and the masterminds that put the beat under our feet.

Oh... and I guess how amazing they all look giggling and wiggling with their Brazilian blow outs, 6 inch stilettos and can still strike a pose while they're Dancing on the Ceiling!

What makes you dance?  Twitter me your answers @carlosncharge

JON CHU BATTLED MILEY CYRUS & NOW TAKES ON THE WORLD

MADD Chad Smith doing the robot at Bar Loubitch in Hollywood, CA

An Epic Online Dance Adventure...Get ready.

Meet one of my favorite people and directors, the talented Jon Chu.  Some may recognize him from the Miley Cyrus youtube dance off videos, his guest spot on Ellen, the Teen Choice Awards or as the director of Step Up 2: The Streets and soon to be Step up 3D.  Jon and some other skilled people in the business have been locked in a room secretly building a project that combines music, dance, story telling, sport and interactive media.

They call the project LXD, which stands for the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers. Partnering up with Agility Studios, Jon and his crew have gathered their army and have been slowly but surely creating something really special.

No Special effects. No Wires. Real People, Real powers.

Join the dancer uprising on this epic online adventure and who knows even YOU may be part of the LXD.

ARE YOU EXTRAORDINARY?

Jon we think your fine dancers should attend and teach a class at NeverWood High.  You can be the Xavier (Proffesor X) to our X-Men style students.
