CELEBRITIES AIR OUT THEIR LAUNDRY @ THE TIDE PARTY

Venus & Serena Williams double team the paparazzi @ The W Hotel 4 the Tide Plus Febreeze Sport party

Bartender at the Tide Plus Febreeze Sport partyVenus Williams hosted the Tide Plus Febreeze Sport party at the W Hotel last Saturday in Miami.

Solange Knowles, DJ Irie & Pete Wentz each DJ'ed a set ocean side, while guest partied on the tennis courts, played basketball, golfed and  tossed footballs around.

Everyone had fun in the sun on their minds and all I could think about was the scene in Clueless when Amber says "Ms. Stoeger, my plastic surgeon doesn't want me doing any activity where balls fly at my nose," and Dionne so kindly replies "Well, there goes your social life."

Speaking of social lives, I had dropped the ball and realized I was late for what was next on my agenda.

With one hand in my pocket and the other one was hailing a taxi cab...I was on my way.

Thanks to Blake & Monica from The A List for a great time.

A NEW REVOLUTION

Sitting in my History class at school.  I remember learning about all these different moments in time. Moments that seemed so foreign to me.  But, instead of just teaching me about what has happened in the past. No one really said anything about what could happen in the future.  My future.  My kids future.

In my lifetime the Berlin Wall has come down, Donna Martin Graduated, an athlete broke his own records and won 8 gold medals in the Olympics.  Our Nation was attacked on September 11th and rebuilt with something that is not easily broken, American spirit.  Leaving a nation ready for change and hope, which led to our new President in office.

All of these historical events that I mentioned above, all share one thing in common.

UNITY

People helping people.  People standing up for what they believe in.  People cheering for who they believe in. Most importantly, people expressing their LOVE for other people.

Whether you believe in Equality for all or not.  To be a part of a demonstration, like the one last Tuesday, was quite a sight to see.  It gave me a feeling inside that I was once again a part of history.

If you would like to learn more about being a part of history, log onto www.eqca.org and share your LOVE with someone else.
