Hi Class of 2010!  This is your principal here and with the AMA's coming up this weekend I did a lil impromptu interview (last week) with artist and song writer Matt White.  Check out part one of two of this exclusive NeverWood High interview...

Matt White "It's The Good Crazy" cover artNWH:  Hey Matt, I got your number from April and wanted to ask you a few questions for my website NeverWood High dot com, is that cool?

MW: Yeah, you were at Teen Vogue right, I think I did a bunch of stuff with Leigh Belz.

NWH: Yeah, Leigh Belz in New York.

NWH:  Your on tour now. How long does your tour go until?

MW: I’m doing a bunch of radio stuff in Dec., when all the Christmas shows are and you know this McRib commercial is out of control.

NWH: Its so out of control, that's how I first heard the song “Love”.

MW: Yeah, it’s number one on Amazon right now and I think 70 on iTunes.

 

NWH: Is that you on the McRib commercial towards the end?

MW: Yeah, yeah.  That’s me in the commercial which is even funnier.

NWH: I love it.

MW: We shot the commercial and no one really knew when it was going to air and that song is from my last record.  I shot that maybe like only a year ago.

NWH: Oh, wow.

MW: And they [McDonald's] had already licensed the song "Love", which was through my last label.  But, you know, my last label wouldn’t release it.  Because, um they wouldn’t go to radio with it.  

NWH: What a shame, because its truly an amazing song.Singer Matt White

MW: Oh, thank you bro.  You should check out my new album it's even better.  Listen to that album I mean it got four stars in Rolling Stone, People Magazine called it the album of the year.  It’s less pop and more Piano Man territory.  We played for like 2000 college kids the other night and there were like these Twilight crazed McRib fans.

 

NWH:  HA!  Now that's something to sink your teeth into.

MW: I didn’t even know the McDonald's thing was going to run.  My phone was off and I turned my off and I had like 85 text.  Half of them were from people that I didn't even know because I didn't transfer them into my new phone.  It was crazy and now I'm seeing it at every hotel when I travel.

 

NWH: So, did you have to google the commercial just to see it at first?

MW: It was on Youtube and then I’ve seen it like a million times since.

The who's who of the most infamous zip code in the world had people leaving the party saying 9-0-2-1-WHOA!

I love a good costume party, so when I received my invitation I ran into my closet as CARLos and came out as Klown Lagerfeld.

A mixture of clown couture, vintage Chanel and NeverWood high sunglasses.

Call me crazy, but if this is what they meant by running away and joining the circus.

Then commit me to the madhouse!

TEEN VOGUE'S YOUNG HOLLYWOOD PARTY

The scene at the 2010 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood party at Paramount StudiosMichael Kors at the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood partyOnce a year there's a day that kids all around the world wait for... Christmas morning, the last day of school and a brand new car in the garage.

But, in a small town known as Hollywood, California, kids all year have their own stylist on speed dial for the annual Teen Vogue Young Hollywood party. 

This years party was held at Paramount Studios in the heart of Tinseltown, with a fashion show by Michael Kors and special performance by Fitz & the TanTrums.

Tweens, teens and a few dancing queens fluttered the dance floor to the sounds of Alexa Chung's DJ set.

It was the perfect evening to catch up with old (young) friends, take a few photos and hope to be in next years Young Hollywood issue (assuming you weren't already included).

The bells of the ball that evening were the beautiful Ballerina, Laura Love and reality tv's youngster, Kendall Jenner.  They both had a presence to them that would have Andy Warhol setting up some studio time.  Can we say star power.
